I stopped in Portland with Renee and Jeff as I didnt feel like braving the remaining 45 miles of unplowed highway at 20 MPH. They, being the gracious host as always, took me in and wined and dined me. It sounds as if Jeff may be taking his company private (it was owned by MEDCO earlier). Overall, it would have been much better to wai out this storm in Boston, as my sister told me too. But what kind of younger brother would I be if I listened to her?

Driving up North
I drove in the worse weather I have ever driven today. We received over 1 1/2 feet of snow and almost all roads were unplowed (even the highways). That meant, if I ever stopped the car, it was almost impossible of getting it moving again. I ran through many stoplihts (no cars in the other direction), but thats okay as snow was covering m license plate. I drove from Boston to Portland in 4 1/2 hours ( a trip that normally takes about 1 1/2), and saw probabily 75 accidents/cars stuck in snow. It was really bad as the visiability was about 15 feet with the wind. At some points in the highway I could even see a car I was passing. It made it really creepy for driving as out of the blue a car would appear and be within 10 feet of you. Below is a picture out my windsheild when a trcuk was about 20 feet away from me. You can barely make out its lights. Pretty creepy driving.
