"gay dance section of San Fran? I thought all of San Fran was a gay dance section?"
...This is true, just the Castro is the epicenter of it all. I'd never been out in San Fran before, quite different from the grimy clubs of DC.
After CA, Alex and I headed up north to Eugene. We dropped off our stuff and headed out in the beautiful "Oregon sunshine" (aka "rain") and enjoyed hiking in the rain.
We also found a little house on a train bridge that we thought would be perfect for you Ma. Good views, fresh air, no lawn to maintain.
We found that forest hiking was the best in the rain, on the dunes you felt the rain a lot more. We next headed up the Coast past the "world famous sea lion caves" to learn that a large storm was moving in and 60 mph winds and rain were on the way. We decided that we liked sunsets on the beach more than hurricane force storms, so we decided not to stay and see if I could turn my jacket into an effective parachute at those wind speeds, instead we headed back to Eugene.
I had to go back to class once back, but luckily 2 of them were canceled the first week so we got to spend most of the day together. I took Alex out to some good restaurants in town and she headed back to San Fran on Thursday. It was great to have her up here and today was really lonely without her.... (sad face inserted here). However, I have more than enough work already piled up to keep me occupied.
I also go my new bike that Aaron, Ilana, and Mom bought me for my B-day. Just needs a splash guard on the wheels and a book rack to attach the bike saddle bag that Ilana gave me for the holidays. Thanks Sis!!!!
On a sad note to end. I took Guida to the vet this afternoon. The prognosis is bad. Probably almost completely blind, she won't eat or drink. Nothing much I can do, but make her comfortable.

Thanks Sara. Unfortunately it's been raining almost every day, but that may be a blessing in disguise as then I dont feel tempted to go out and play instead of do homework.
How are things with you?
