Mom's surpise B-Day party

As many who read this blog know, the 20th was Mom's birthday and Aaron and Liz flew her out to New Mexico to go camping in Arizona. Little did she know that the Gilg clan, myself, favorite cousin Ali, uncle Rob and Auntie Kay all flew into Arizona to surprise her. All of us climbed to the top of the hike, set up lunch, and even had time to make a sign of sorts.



I dont think she had a clue about the surprise...I was worried we'd given her a heart attack.....a joyous heart attack that is.





We all had lunch and wine on top of the mountain, except for Alden who was adamant on giving away his lunch to the always eager Sasha.


The hike itself was beautiful as well.



After the hike we all headed back to Bisbee where we had rented 2 houses. Bisbee is a funky town inbetween 2 ranges and home of a large copper mine. I dont have much picture around the town so I'll let Aaron and Ilana talk about that..






My last night we went out to a fancy restaurant and were served a lemon sorbet as a pallet cleanser. Alden, who was adamant it was ice cream, was set on enjoying it, but would make really strange faces with each bite. I'm still not sure if he liked it or not, but it was hilarious to watch.
