Fingers
As many may know by now, I burnt my right hand last weekend when my housemate, when trying to make donuts, started a grease fire in the kitchen. I was studying, dutifully, when heard the cry for help. The lid was semi engulfed in the blaze that went from the pot of oil to the ceiling. Without much thought, I saw the front door was open, grabbed the flaming pot and threw it into the driveway....where my car was sitting. Luckily, no harm was done to my car, and the house is just a little singed. The ceiling is black and bubbly, and the plastic items we had on top of the cabinet were melted. The floor has a melted portion, and yes, my right hand as well. For those with weak hearts, you may not want to look. It'll be at least a couple of weeks before its somewhat back to normal.

Get well soon. Looks really painful.
i now have PTSD about donuts
I am convinced that donuts are meant to be bought in stores - never made at home. You have to draw the line somewhere, and donuts never cooperate with home baking attempts for me (although I've never had to go to the ER!).
Levin (serious face): "Uncle Ben has a big owie. He has to take lots of medicine. If you take medicine, you get a special treat! Like stickers!! Feel better Uncle Ben! I'll give him a big hug. Take your medicine!" [actual quotes from Levin]
