Over the last couple of weeks there hasnt been much to note on the blog, but we did have some visits.
First, I flew down to Baltimore to go to my GWU friend's wedding (Mel & Harry). Forgot my camera, so no pictures. It was a short and sweet ceremony and best of all, I got to spend some quality time with Kay and Rob.
Next, my friend Adam visited from Alaska. He's taking a break from working (works abroad for military subcontractors), but with no rent, girlfriend, living expenses, and tax-free earnings over the last 3 years; he's more than set to take a year off and travel. He just closed on a house in Las Vegas, which he bought for his mother (don't get any ideas ma) and in November is planning on spending half a year in South America. Anyho, he (and his dad) came to visit for a short weekend here in SF.
Last, Al's cousins, Kate & Sean, from NJ came in for the week. They
spent the sandwiching weekends with us in the city, and the middle of
the week in Sonoma winetasting. It was good to go out and do tourist-y
things around the city that you don't do when living here; muir woods, pier 39, academy of sciences...
