Last weekend, Al and I traveled to the state where weed runs wild and free: Orygun. Our Airbnb was actually right next store to "the Weedery." We had only made it up to Portland once during my 3 year tenure at UO so the city was still basically new to us. We wandered aimlessly around. The food everywhere was great.
Despite being in a "cusp" month (for weather), it was delightful the entire time and sunny for the main event: Mo's wedding.
Mo is one of Alex's Sonoma girls that she grew up with (not pictured above). The groom was from Chile, so a good portion of it was in Spanish. We arrived a day early to explore the town: the big-ass bookstore, the big-ass forest park, and watch Hail Ceasar on a cool-ass movie theater with lazy-boy seating and beer & wine service.
The wedding itself was very chill, with the ceremony under the bridge in
Cathedral Park. The only decorations being a hoopah and red balloons.
After a brief ceremony, we all walked over to a nearby event parlor- in
what used to be an old Funeral home.
We had Peruvian food, danced a bunch, had a late night gourmet grilled cheese food truck, danced some more, then called it a night. Alex and I had a 7am flight that morning, so left the floor at 2am, and woke back up at 5am to catch the flight home. All-in-all, a wonderful little vacation from the norm.
And Here's Dog. She crashed with the neighbors. Here she is being a dog.
