The Fam headed east for one of Alex's friend's wedding- Kristen & Jimi. They moved from Sonoma to New Market, NH (or all places) to try their hand as farmers. The only flight available going east left at 4am, or red-eye. We thought, hey, she sleeps good, might as well try the red-eye. It did not go well. It was like we had given our baby red-bull the second she got on the flight. Making things worse, they wouldn't dim the cabin lights so it was too bright to get her to chill out. So, she was a mess. Up and down, up and down. Refusing to be held-- After a painful 5 hour flight with 1-2 hours of sleep, we arrived in Boston (direct only for us, not trying a layover with a baby), caught an Uber up north to Dover.
The wedding was right in downtown Dover. The foliage was beautiful, but Zady came down with a cold immediately,v which made sleeping difficult. All the guests wanted to interact with Zady, but feeling unwell she preferred to just kept glued to me and Al.
After the wedding, we headed up north to visit Ilana and family. Zady loved hanging out with the cousins. They played us violin concerts every day. Cousin Sarah and Dan met up with us one day for a hike and we visited a local farm to oggle the animals, eat apples, and walk through the corn maze.
After a few Maine days, we headed west to Scott's place in NH and chilled by the Lake. Cousin Sarah and Dan also came to visit again for a row across the lake.
Thanks to Barb & Milo for watching to Dog in our absence.
