So as you may know I am down from 4 to 3 cats now. I let one out over a week ago, and it never came back. No roadkill, nothing at the animal shelters, and then, there I am letting out the 17 year old cat and **whoosh** a humongous bald eagle flies right over our heads and into a nearby tree.It looks down at us, we collectively look back up at it. The cat none-the-less upon seeing this, decided he didnt want to go out (smart choice) and I tried to get my camera, but it flew away as soon as I came back. I am not an action photographer, so all it is, is a speck behind branches, but I saw it was carrying something in its talons about a foot long and furry, and I thought....hmm...kinda looks like a cat. And it dawned on me, my lost cat is probably ....out in the garage. Nope not there....Hmm I wonder where it went????

(see bird speck image, I could tell you which speck is the bird, but does it matter)
Although on a side note, although I am sad to be down a cat, I am happier knowing that it is keeping some eagle chick well fed. I've decided to rename Dumpling, Sophie, and Thelma (the remaining cats) to Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner (respectively). I'll glad all that songbird eating Karma is coming back to haunt these kitties. HA.
PS dont tell Jennifer I laughed at this. She might not be as...understanding as I am.
