Alex's Spring break.

Alex came up for her spring break which was the week before mine. Luckily due to a light class schedule, we were able to spend more of the time out of the law school and in the sunshine. This was a big deal as it was the first sunny weekend for the last 4 months. First we when met up some people at local bars, celebrated St. Patty's day to an Irish punk band and ate out at some of our favorite restaurants. We then headed outside Portland with one of Alex's friends Meg for a hike among waterfalls. It was windy, but beautiful. The stone bridges, skinny curving roads, and masonry reminded us all of Europe.

We spent the rest of the evening wandering around Portland aimlessly poking our heads into shops and such. On saturday we wnet for what I told Alex would be a short hike. It is only 2.5 miles to the top of Mount Pisgah, but we took a different trail down the other side and ended up on a 12 mile hike on a freak cloudless day without any water.

That night we headed over to Sandy's 60th birthday party and they went all out. It was a 60s theme and there was confetti and projection slide show, all sorts of Beatles labeled snacks, wine, and mannequins with Sandy's head put on each one.

The flowers and cake were tie-dyed and there were some young pictures of Kerstin that were very entertaining to me and Alex. Even baby Alden made it on the slideshow.
