New Years 2016- Seattle

We spent the week prior to New Years in Port Townsend, 2 hours north of Seattle. Alex's family friends, the Banks family, whom are basically honorary cousins to the Rosalsky clan: Cotton, Morgan and Kevin, and their 5 month girl, Cora.

Cora  just happens to be the best behaved baby I have ever met (sorry Alden). Almost no crying or fuss. Well-mannered and self-reliant. A true role model to young master Blastina soon to be gracing us.

Among frivolity and merriment, we also went crabbing- we caught a crab in each pot, earning us dinner for the night.

We also drove  through the Olympus mountain  range, stopping to take a stroll on the icy tops.

We spent New years Eve in Morgan & Kevin's cabin in the woods, 30 minutes inland. They live in a small cabin on a large track of land nestled between Department woodlands. They have a gaggle of sheep, pigs, and chickens all completely off the grid. They are renting right next to their property while they construct a yurt, and then a larger house.

After a night of more merriment and effervescence, we headed back to Port Townsend to be sent off in style, a night of games at the local watering hole. I learned I am a mushroom and Alex is a Hot Dog. It really has changed my perspectives on existence.
